Standford and Aprenda

Week of December 3 - 7

Testing begins this week, Dec. 4th - 12th. The NNAT will be Dec. 4th and the Stanford/Aprenda the following days. A portion of the Stanford/Aprenda test will be given daily, first thing in the morning. These scores are only used for placement in the Gifted and Talented program. Since this is for GT placement your child will be tested in their native language. Please do not over-emphasize the test. It is a hard week for everyone. I explain to the kids that the test will have PreK-2nd grade info. We talk about the fact that they are not supposed to know everything. The only test preparation needed is a good night sleep and a good breakfast. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

3-7 de diciembre

Los exámenes empiezan está semana, 4 – 12 de diciembre. El NNAT será el 4 de diciembre y el Aprenda/Standford serán después. Una parte del examen Aprenda se dará cada día, inmediatamente por la mañana. Estos resultados se usan solamente para el programa de los avanzados y los talentosos. Como este examen es para identificar los estudiantes que son avanzados los estudiantes recibirán el examen en su idioma materno. Por favor no le ponga mucho énfasis en este examen. Es una semana difícil para todos. Yo les explico a los estudiantes que el examen tendrá información desde PreK hasta el segundo grado. Hablamos del hecho que no deben de saber todo. La única preparación que se necesita es que se duerman temprano y que tengan un buen desayuno. Si tienen cualquier pregunta o preocupaciones por favor hable con migo.
