Five Senses
September 10th -14
• Read aloud, My Five Senses, kids will find pictures depicting each of the five senses to add to individual posters.
• Read aloud books about the sense of sight, play I spy with your partner.
• Read aloud books about the sense of sound. Play what's that sound?
• Read aloud books about the sense of smell, kids identify smells in unmarked canisters.
• Read aloud books about the sense of touch; explore textures in the feely box.
• Read aloud books about the sense of taste. Explore bitter, salty, sweet, and sour.
• Journal all week. We will start with our journal volunteers. Please see me to confirm your day.
• Writers words... un…una…soy
• Math
o Problem solving and activities involving position and location.
Information
• We need about 20 magazines for a class project. Please send them by Wed. and make sure they are kid-friendly.
• Two homework activities are in the brown folder and are due as finished.
• Me doll information going home in the red folder, Tuesday, and they are due back by the next week.
• Thursday, September 20th, Kindergarten Pizza night. I hope to see all families there.
• If anyone would like to donate any snacks it will be greatly appreciated.

• Leer en voz alta, Los cinco sentidos. Los estudiantes encontrarán fotos de revistas para agregarlos a un proyecto de la clase.
• Leer libros del sentido de la vista y jugar “yo veo”.
• Leer libros del sentido del oído y jugar “¿qué es ese sonido?”
• Leer libros del sentido del olfato y los estudiantes podrán identificar olores en vasitos que no están marcados.
• Leer libros del sentido del tacto; explorar diferentes texturas en la caja de tocar.
• Leer libros del sentido del gusto; explorar agrio, salado, dulce y amargo
• Diario toda la semana. Empezaremos con los voluntarios para el diario. Por favor hable conmigo para verificar su día.
• Palabras del autor…un…una…soy
• Matemáticas
o Resolviendo problemas y actividades con posición y ubicación
Información
• Necesitamos como 20 revistas para un proyecto de la clase. Por favor mándelos para el miércoles y por favor que sean apropiados para los niños.
• Hay dos actividades de tarea en la carpeta café. Los pueden entregar cuando terminen.
• La información para las muñecas de mí estará en la carpeta roja, el martes, y se necesita entregar para la siguiente semana.
• 20 de septiembre, jueves será la noche de la pizza de Kindergarten. Espero verlos a todos allí.
• Si alguien quisiera donar unas meriendas por favor hable conmigo.
